Level 3-Stroke Development
1.Jump into the deep water from the side.
2.Bob with the head fully submerged.
3.Perform survival float.
4.Butterfly-kick and body motion.
5.Use Check-Call-Care in an emergency.
6.Dive from kneeling or standing position.
7.Use rotary breathing in horizontal position.
8.Change from horizontal position to vertical position on front and back.
9.Perform the HELP & Huddle positions.
10.Submerge and retrieve and object.
11.Perform front and back glide.
12.Perform front and back crawl.
13.Perform a reaching assist
Lessons are up to 4 swimmers in each class. There will be four 30 min classes. The lessons are for ages 5 and up.
Cost is $48.00 for 4 sessions.
The swim lessons are designed to teach participants lifelong swimming skills and provide training in basic water safety. Each swim lesson courses are intended to provide a positive learning experience so participants can feel comfortable and enjoy the water safely.
Swim lessons are progressive, with each level building on skills previously learned , the prerequisite for each level is the successful demonstration of the skills from the previous level.
We will assess each swimmer and make sure they are at the appropriate swim level on the first day of lessons. The swimmer will be transferred to the appropriate level and better suited to meet their needs.
Classes maybe canceled or combined due to no enrollment. MAS Community Ed reserves the right to make schedule changes or to cancel class.
Please note: it is NOT typical for children to pass an entire level in the duration of one session of semi-private of swim lessons! Although this can occur, several sessions of lessons are usually recommended and/or needed in order to pass each level.
